Each project is approached with careful planning, clear communication, and close involvement from early planning through to completion. The earlier Patina Design Studio is involved, the more opportunity there is to influence layout, detailing, team coordination and key decisions before they become difficult or costly to change.

Phase One: PRE DESIGN

The early planning phase focused on functionality, spatial planning and project direction, establishing the foundation for every decision that follows.

Design Consultation

Initial consultation to review the property, discuss project objectives and determine the appropriate project scope.

2-3 Weeks

Briefing, Concept & Schematic

Establishing the spatial direction, functionality and room relationships that will underpin every subsequent design decision.

1-3 Days

Project Team Site Visit & Introductions

Selecting and aligning the broader project team early to ensure clarity around direction, scope and execution.

Phase Two: DESIGN

The design is developed and resolved through detailed planning, material selection and technical coordination.

6-12 Weeks

Design Development

Refining the layout, material palette, joinery, lighting, fixtures, furnishings and overall design direction.

4-8 Weeks

Documentation Package

Preparing detailed documentation and specifications to support pricing, coordination and construction.

6-9 Weeks

Tender & Estimation

Reviewing documentation with builders and trades to align scope, pricing and construction requirements before commencement.

Phase Three: DESIGN EXECUTION

We remain closely involved during construction to protect the integrity of the design through to final completion.

Reviewing details on-site and coordinating with builders and trades to ensure the design is executed as intended.

Installation & Client Handover

Coordinating furniture installation, styling and final project handover.

Post Construction
