The Design Story
Initially engaged for furnishing, the project quickly evolved into a broader Full Service Design commission encompassing spatial planning, interior architecture, material selections, lighting and custom joinery throughout the residence.
Working closely with the clients, Patina Design Studio restructured the internal layout around the way they live day to day. The floor plan was reconfigured to improve functionality, circulation, natural light and the relationship between shared living spaces, while strengthening the connection to the waterfront setting.
Ceilings, walls and joinery were carefully reconfigured to create a greater sense of openness and cohesion throughout the interiors, while bespoke detailing introduced depth, functionality and architectural clarity across each space.
Custom joinery elements including integrated bars, media fireplaces, wardrobes and bathroom vanities were designed specifically for the residence, balancing refined detailing with practical family living.
A restrained material palette of textured stone, warm timbers and layered finishes was selected to create a home that feels calm, sophisticated and deeply connected to its waterfront setting.
The project remains under construction, with Patina Design Studio continuing to oversee design management, joinery coordination and on-site execution to protect the integrity of the original design intent.
